Adtech firm ShowHeroes acquires Traffective
Video and CTV ad tech company ShowHeroes has acquired the Munich-based programmatic monetization platform Traffective, expanding its publisher monetizaation capabilities across connected TV (CTV), video and display advertising.
The deal brings together two adtech companies with complementary expertise and extends ShowHeroes’ reach to close to 2,000 publisher partners. The combined platform generates more than 25 billion ad impressions and manages cross-channel advertising volumes exceeding EUR 10 million per month. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approval.
Complementary technologies and international rollout
The integration combines ShowHeroes’ CTV and digital video technology with Traffective’s experience in programmatic monetisation and full-page display advertising. The companies aim to build a large independent publisher monetisation platform in Europe while expanding the technology internationally through ShowHeroes’ sales infrastructure.
Traffective will continue to operate under the name Traffective by ShowHeroes. Existing publisher partners will maintain their current products, technologies, partnerships and contact points.
Expanding monetization opportunities for publishers
Ilhan Zengin, Founder and CEO of ShowHeroes: "Traffective has built a monetisation logic that has proven itself over many years in one of Europe's most competitive digital markets. Our ambition is to scale this technology internationally and connect it with our global demand infrastructure. By combining yield optimisation, contextual intelligence and our AI-powered CTV and video stack, we are strengthening what premium publishers can achieve across the full multi-screen ecosystem."
Through ShowHeroes’ international direct sales organisation, publishers within the Traffective network will gain access to additional global advertising budgets while ShowHeroes expands its own publisher footprint with national, regional and local media partners.
Scaling monetization technology across markets
The integration also combines Traffective’s programmatic and display monetisation expertise with ShowHeroes’ content, creative and demand capabilities. The companies aim to provide publishers with a broader revenue framework as advertising environments continue to fragment and move toward cookieless targeting models.
ShowHeroes plans to introduce Traffective’s monetisation solutions across its international markets in phases, allowing publishers outside the German-speaking region to adopt the optimisation and performance logic developed by the Munich-based platform.
