Mediaplus launches AI platform for media planning
The platform is already being used across international markets and client projects as part of the agency's broader AI strategy.
Mediaplus Group has launched Plus.AI, an AI-based platform designed to connect data, insights and media planning workflows across its global operations.
The platform is intended to help clients and agency teams access information from multiple sources within a single environment, addressing challenges associated with fragmented data and disconnected AI tools.
Platform connects agency intelligence
According to Mediaplus, Plus.AI combines first-party data, behavioural insights, media planning processes and market knowledge into a unified system that can be configured to individual client requirements.
The platform is already being used across international markets and client projects as part of the agency's broader AI strategy.
Mediaplus said the system serves as an intelligence layer across its existing AI capabilities, with the aim of supporting decision-making, simplifying workflows and improving access to organisational knowledge.
Focus on transparency and governance
The platform is built on the agency's Global Data Mesh architecture, which allows data from different markets and teams to remain under local ownership while being connected through a shared infrastructure.
Mediaplus said this approach enables consistent access to data across markets while maintaining local relevance and governance structures.
Matthias Brüll, Global Chief Executive Officer of Mediaplus: "The industry is reaching a turning point. AI is no longer an add-on. It is becoming the operational backbone of marketing. With Plus.AI, we have already built that backbone and brought our data-driven expertise together within a connected AI ecosystem. This significantly reduces the complexity of media planning while improving strategic quality. For clients, the platform creates a whole new level of transparency across all media activities: it makes decisions more traceable, enables better control, and drives greater impact."
Built on Akkio infrastructure
Plus.AI operates on infrastructure provided by Akkio, an AI platform that supports agentic workflows. The system runs within Mediaplus Group's cloud environment and is designed to provide security, governance and transparency around AI-driven recommendations and decision-making processes.
Jon Reilly, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Akkio: "Mediaplus operates across dozens of markets with data ownership distributed across teams and geographies, exactly the environment Akkio is built for. Plus.AI shows what's possible when AI infrastructure can handle that complexity."
Supporting data-driven media planning
Mediaplus said the platform is intended to help transform data into actionable media intelligence and support more informed planning decisions across client campaigns.
Karin Immenroth, Global Chief Data Officer, Mediaplus: "Large volumes of data alone do not create value for brands. What matters is turning that data into media intelligence, relevant insights, and informed decisions. That is exactly why we built Plus.AI, to rethink media planning through a single, integrated system: data-driven, AI-supported where it matters most, and built on state-of-the-art infrastructure. In doing so, we are consistently evolving Mediaplus into a data- and AI-first agency."
