Hearst unifies media inventory under one network
Hearst has consolidated its digital news inventory into a single programmatic offering, Hearst News, bringing together its newspapers and television sites within one platform for advertisers. The move creates a centralised marketplace designed to simplify access to the company’s audiences at scale.
The network combines more than 30 daily and 50 weekly newspapers with 35 television digital properties, reaching over 80 million monthly users and generating more than 3 billion monthly impressions. Previously operating as Mosaic, the offering now acts as a single entry point for national advertisers and agencies.
Streamlining programmatic access
Hearst News introduces a unified buying experience that allows advertisers to activate campaigns across multiple markets and formats through one system. The approach aims to reduce fragmentation by aligning inventory, data and measurement under a single framework.
By centralising its technology stack, Hearst enables more consistent optimisation and clearer performance tracking. Campaigns can be managed at national, regional or local levels, offering flexibility while maintaining operational efficiency.
Focus on scale and transparency
The platform is positioned as a way to connect advertisers with engaged local audiences in brand-safe environments. It supports display, video and connected TV formats, with an emphasis on measurable outcomes and transparency.
The structure also incorporates privacy-focused targeting and measurement tools, reflecting wider industry shifts toward cookieless solutions and stricter data standards.
Executive view on unified strategy
Mike Irenski, SVP of programmatic strategy at Hearst News: "Hearst News is more than a rebrand — it’s a next-generation advertising engine built for performance. By unifying our programmatic organization, we’re giving advertisers the ability to reach verified, highly engaged audiences at scale, while benefiting from consistent optimization, clearer measurement and a level of transparency that’s increasingly difficult to find on the open web. This creates stronger outcomes for marketers and supports the essential journalism our communities rely on."
Driving efficiency across markets
The consolidated network enables advertisers to plan, optimise and measure campaigns holistically, without the inefficiencies associated with fragmented buying. Standardised inventory and audience strategies support more consistent results across devices and regions.
Hearst will continue to develop the platform through product innovation and cross-market insights, aiming to strengthen advertiser performance while supporting its broader publishing operations.
