UM retains AGL Energy media account
Under the renewed agreement, UM will remain responsible for media strategy as well as digital and traditional media planning
UM has secured a multi-year extension of its media agency contract with AGL Energy, continuing a partnership that has spanned eight years.
Under the renewed agreement, UM will remain responsible for media strategy as well as digital and traditional media planning and buying across AGL Energy's product portfolio.
Agency retains long-term client
The extension marks the second time UM has retained the AGL Energy account, having successfully defended the business during a competitive pitch in 2022.
During the partnership, the agency has delivered campaigns focused on improving energy literacy among culturally and linguistically diverse communities, as well as supporting the launch of the Melbourne Metro Tunnel partnership.
Partnership to continue growth strategy
Stevie Douglas-Neal, CEO of UM Australia: "We’re delighted to continue our partnership with AGL. Over the past eight years, we’ve worked in close alignment to drive growth.
"AGL sets the standard for what great clients look like -- ambitious, collaborative, and focused on real business impact, and as we move into our next phase together, we’re ready to keep pushing boundaries and accelerate transformation. We look forward to continuing our partnership with AGL and its team."
David Bland, CMO of AGL Energy: "We’ve built a strong partnership with UM grounded in trust, collaboration, and a shared focus on outcomes. We’re excited to extend the partnership and continue the momentum and see what we can achieve together next."
