Regina Buckley named Chief Financial and Strategy Officer of Hearst Magazines

Hearst Magazines has announced that Regina Buckley has been named chief financial and strategy officer.

In her new role, Buckley will oversee the financial and strategic planning processes across the business. The announcement was made by Hearst Magazines President Debi Chirichella.

Buckley joins Hearst Magazines from the Guardian News & Media LLC, where she served as president of the North American division for the past two years. Previously, she was chief financial officer and chief operating officer for the division, a position she held since 2018. During her time with the company, she helped reimagine the sales strategy, develop differentiation pillars through data-based, cross-departmental processes and lead the business through four consecutive years of top and bottom-line growth.

Chirichella: “Regina brings outstanding financial and business acumen to her new role. She has excelled as a leader in this rapidly evolving media industry, and her collaborative approach and ability to blend strategy and structure will play an integral role as we continue to build the future for Hearst Magazines.”

Buckley brings more than 20 years of experience in media publishing to Hearst. Prior to joining the Guardian, she held several senior level roles at Time Inc., including general manager of the lifestyle group and senior vice president of digital operations and digital business development. During her time there, she also served as the senior vice president, finance and general manager for the style and entertainment group and chief of staff to the chief executive officer.

Buckley: “Hearst has always been a transformational leader in the ever-evolving magazine media landscape thanks to its talented teams and the strong audience connection with its trusted brands. I am excited to help drive the company’s continued innovation and success.”

Buckley, who will report to Chirichella, begins her new role on April 26.
