MediaCom names Nancy Lengthorn as first Global Chief Inclusion and Culture Officer

MediaCom has named Nancy Lengthorn, currently Head of Inclusion and Belonging across MediaCom UK and WPP, as its first-ever Global Chief Inclusion and Culture Officer.

Her new MediaCom-dedicated role will involve celebrating and spreading the very best initiatives from across the network as well as pushing out new initiatives to drive belonging and inclusion across the agency.

She will also act as a conduit between the network’s Global Belonging Council, the agency’s internal body that drives forward its 10-step plan for delivering sustainable change; its People Team and senior leadership, providing impartial and expert advice to all three. She will also retain her MediaCom UK responsibilities, further building on their industry-leading work and driving their diversity, equity and inclusion commitments.

With more than two decades of service at MediaCom in total, Nancy understands the network’s unique culture and has also spent the last 10 years at MediaCom UK, working in dedicated talent, diversity and inclusion roles.

She has led key initiatives, such as our Mental Health Allies programme and our inclusive entry-level recruitment principles, which have made a real difference to the business.

The appointment is a critical component of MediaCom’s drive to become the world’s most inclusive media network, a place where everyone feels comfortable and welcome, in line with its culture of People First, Better Results.

Nick Lawson, Global CEO, MediaCom: “While diversity and inclusion are everyone’s responsibility, Nancy will spearhead our efforts internally as well as working with clients to drive industry and sector progress. Her new position is a sign of the importance that we attach to meeting and exceeding expectations when it comes to D&I.”

Kevin Johnson, CEO, MediaCom Canada and Co-Chair, Belonging Council, MediaCom: “Nancy has been a force of nature in driving change across MediaCom in recent years and her appointment is a vital catalyst for change, building on our inclusive culture to make MediaCom even more welcoming to all.”
