MediaCom China celebrates Festival of Creativity

MediaCom’s five offices in Greater China came together to celebrate the network’s second Festival of Creativity.

Opened by Rupert McPetrie, CEO of MediaCom Greater China and Patrick Xu, CEO WPP Greater China & CEO GroupM Greater China, the three-day event was designed to inspire the whole team via a mix of thought leadership, client insight and the latest cutting-edge technology.

With an overall theme of “Cultural Relevance”, it was hosted by MediaCom’s Shanghai office and live streamed to all MediaCom’s talent in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Taiwan late last month.

Among the guest speakers were Eni Aluko, former England footballer, Fred Hu, Sales & Marketing Director at Tencent, Kyumoon Lee, Vice President at Mars, Bobo Chen, Marketing Director at Mars and many of MediaCom’s global leaders.

Staff were challenged to think out of the box and get creative via a mix of online gaming competitions, a Cannes Cinema and a dancing activity. At the end of the event dinner parties were held at the five offices.

Rupert McPetrie, CEO, MediaCom Greater China: “It was fantastic to celebrate the creativity of our network across Greater China and inspire our teams with insights from clients, sports stars and MediaCom’s global leaders. To ensure that we truly engage with consumers we need to be creative and see the bigger picture and this festival really drove home how we can do that by spotting opportunities to enable brands to be more culturally relevant.”
