DPG Media acquires Sijthoff Media’s children platforms Kidsweek and Samsam
The titles Kidsweek, Kidsweek in de Klas and Samsam - by Sijthoff Media - will become part of DPG Media on 1 December. With this, DPG Media is expanding its kids portfolio, which now consists of Donald Duck, Tina and ZoZitDat.
The Kidsweek, Kidsweek in de Klas and Samsam brands reach more than 164,000 children, parents and teachers every week. The acquisition further strengthens DPG Media's mission to stimulate reading among the younger generation.
The Kidsweek and Samsam brands are well known among children and teachers and have grown in recent decades into cross-media platforms with print publications, websites, newsletters, an app, social media channels, events and teaching methods for primary education.
DPG Media has a leading position in the kids market with the magazines Donald Duck, Tina and ZoZitDat.
