YoPRO flips sports ads with Alcaraz’s golf game
YoPRO has launched a new campaign featuring tennis champion Carlos Alcaraz, focusing not on flawless performance but on the joy of progress. The brand positions itself as different from traditional sports marketing by celebrating the messy, human side of improvement.
The film shows Alcaraz on a golf course, attempting shots and missing as often as he connects. Through duffed swings and close calls, the campaign emphasizes that progress is never a straight line. By the end, he is closer to landing a hole-in-one, underscoring the message that even champions have room to grow.
Carrie Mesing, global director, brand equity and communication, YoPRO: "As a brand, we believe there’s no greater joy than feeling challenged, and little by little, getting better at something. That’s why we were excited to feature Carlos’s work in progress golf swing because we stand for progress. And everyone wants to make progress at something, even Carlos Alcaraz."
Spanish directing duo XOXO brought the concept to life, infusing the shoot with energy and humor. Alcaraz embraced the idea, laughing at his own mis-hits and leaning into the theme of showing vulnerability as part of growth.
By focusing on learning rather than dominance, YoPRO reinforces its mission of helping people progress. The campaign suggests that true growth comes from persistence, not perfection, and positions the brand as a partner in that journey.
