Vodafone expands vision beyond coverage

The campaign marks Vodafone’s first major brand initiative following the VodafoneThree merger

Vodafone has unveiled a major new brand campaign centred on the scale of the recently merged VodafoneThree business, positioning connectivity as a driver of future opportunity across the UK.

Created by Leo UK, the campaign introduces the platform The Nation’s Biggest Network, highlighting the combined infrastructure of Vodafone and Three while focusing on the role connectivity can play in supporting people, businesses and communities.

Campaign focuses on future opportunities

The campaign marks Vodafone’s first major brand initiative following the VodafoneThree merger and seeks to shift the conversation from network infrastructure to the real-world impact of improved connectivity.

At the centre of the campaign is a 60-second film that follows a series of everyday characters using connectivity in different ways, illustrating how improved network coverage can support work, entertainment and daily life across the country.

The creative highlights Vodafone’s 5G Standalone network and uses the line: “Opportunity awaits on The Nation’s Biggest Network.”

Integrated rollout across multiple channels

The campaign launched with out-of-home advertising across major UK locations including London Waterloo, Birmingham Bullring, Manchester One, Edinburgh Central and Portsmouth’s Gunwharf Quays.

The television commercial is scheduled to air during the England versus Croatia World Cup match and will also run across YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Additional activity includes advertising on TikTok and Meta, creator-led social content and a radio campaign built around everyday scenarios illustrating the benefits of stronger connectivity.

VodafoneThree investment underpins message

The campaign supports VodafoneThree’s broader strategy following the merger, which combines the network assets of Vodafone and Three.

According to the company, the initiative is backed by an £11 billion investment programme designed to expand coverage, improve reliability and strengthen digital infrastructure across the UK.

Maria Koutsoudakis, Chief Brand Officer, VodafoneThree: "Vodafone has long played an important role in keeping the UK connected, and now, as part of VodafoneThree, we’re building a network designed to give the nation the spark it’s been waiting for with a clear belief in what connectivity can unlock for the UK. ‘The Nation’s Biggest Network’ isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about opportunity. It’s about backing the ambitions of people, businesses and communities across the country – and doing so with optimism for what comes next."

Bringing network benefits to life

Leo UK sought to present the network through stories of everyday use rather than focusing on technical specifications and coverage claims.

The campaign opens with a Vodafone engineer working on a telecommunications mast before moving through a series of scenes depicting people using connectivity in different environments across the country.

Mark Elwood, Chief Creative Officer, Leo UK: "Networks are usually talked about in numbers, coverage maps and claims. We wanted to make this one feel alive. So, the work shows a Britain full of people doing brilliant, surprising, everyday things because the network is there for them. It’s warm, witty and full of possibility, just like the nation it’s built for."

Building on Vodafone’s UK heritage

While focused on the future, the campaign also references Vodafone’s long history in UK telecommunications.

The company noted its role in delivering the UK’s first mobile phone call in 1984 and the world’s first text message in 1992, positioning the VodafoneThree merger as the next stage in its development of national connectivity infrastructure.
