Visa links FIFA World Cup goals to fan rewards
Visa is launching a global FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign that connects match moments with fan rewards and community initiatives across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The payment technology company’s Tap In campaign uses one of football’s simplest finishes — the tap-in goal — as a metaphor for Visa’s payment experience, positioning transactions as fast and seamless during key moments for fans attending or following the tournament.
Visa ties match moments to fan promotions
The campaign includes promotions designed to keep fans engaged throughout the FIFA World Cup 2026. In the United States and Canada, Visa cardholders can register for Tap In to Score, a promotion that links prizes to goals scored during matches.
Prizes include FIFA World Cup tickets, signed memorabilia, limited-edition merchandise and the chance to attend the tournament final. Visa said the promotion is structured around daily participation during the competition.
In Mexico, eligible Visa cardholders can enter Pásala Para Ganar, a separate promotion offering the opportunity to win FIFA World Cup 2026™ match tickets through card registration. Winners are expected to be notified in early June.
Jason Sudeikis fronts campaign lineup
Actor Jason Sudeikis leads the campaign alongside football players Lamine Yamal, Erling Haaland, Christian Pulisic and Jorge Campos, as well as commentator Andrés Cantor.
The campaign film follows Jason Sudeikis travelling across the three host countries while using Visa services during the tournament experience.
Jason Sudeikis, actor: “Football has this way of making even the smallest moment feel shared. Tap In helps fans stay connected to that feeling—whether they’re on the pitch, in the stands, or at home.”
Visa said the campaign will appear across broadcast, digital and social channels, supported by creator partnerships and live fan activations.
Visa expands activations beyond stadiums
The company is also introducing Tap In Studio activations in selected host cities and stadiums. The experiences will combine football culture, art and fan participation, including displays from Visa’s global art collection.
Alongside the fan-focused campaign, Visa announced Tap In to Impact, a programme supporting nonprofit organisations in each host country.
Visa is committing $600,000 across SCORE in the United States, Pro Mujer in Mexico and Futurpreneur in Canada. The funding is intended to support entrepreneurs, mentors and small business initiatives connected to host communities during the tournament.
Frank Cooper III, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa: “Fans don’t just watch the FIFA World Cup™—they live it. Tap In keeps them closer to every moment, turning the easiest goal in football into an invitation for fans everywhere to participate. One tap, and you’re in.”
