Toyota rolls out campaign for electric lineup

Toyota has introduced a global marketing campaign to promote its all-electric vehicle range, positioning the lineup as a practical option for everyday driving through storytelling focused on real-life use.

The integrated effort highlights how electric vehicles can fit into daily routines, as the brand looks to engage drivers considering a shift to electric mobility.

Multicultural strategy shapes campaign rollout

Developed with agency partners including Saatchi & Saatchi, Burrell Communications Group, Conill and Intertrend Communications, the campaign adopts a coordinated approach designed to resonate with diverse audiences.

The creative work spans multiple formats and narratives, unified by a focus on usability and human-centred experiences with electric vehicles.

Mike Tripp, Group Vice President of Toyota Marketing, Toyota: "Toyota's new lineup of all-electric vehicles demonstrates our dedication to putting people first - emphasizing the everyday needs of drivers. This campaign highlights how thoughtful features and purposeful design help make the move to all-electric simple and fun, while supporting how people live, travel, and connect."

Creative executions target different audiences

Burrell Communications Group developed a series of broadcast and digital spots aimed at addressing scepticism around electric vehicles. The work includes a 30-second film titled Haters Anthem, alongside shorter executions such as Looks for Days, Power, and Handle It. The creative uses humour, portraying sceptics as puppets who are gradually convinced of the benefits of battery electric vehicles.

Saatchi & Saatchi’s contribution centres on everyday stories, including films such as Carista and Imagine, which follow individuals integrating electric vehicles into work and leisure activities. The narratives highlight use cases ranging from running a mobile coffee business to weekend travel.

Intertrend Communications draws on cinematic influences inspired by Asian film culture, producing a series of spots including Camping, Escape, Jangal, and Chase. These executions focus on storytelling style and visual tone, targeting Asian American audiences, with rollout scheduled for June 2026.

Conill developed work aimed at Hispanic audiences, combining animation and live action to emphasise trust in established brands when adopting emerging technologies. Its campaign includes the hero film They’re Here and supporting spots such as Test Drive and Tough Call, set to launch in July 2026.

Broad media mix supports campaign scale

The campaign will run across linear television, digital video, streaming audio, paid social, and experiential channels. Distribution includes partnerships with platforms such as Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, and Spotify, among others.

The media strategy reflects Toyota’s intent to reach audiences across multiple touchpoints, combining entertainment, digital content, and social engagement to support awareness and consideration of its electric vehicle offering.
