Timberland celebrates original yellow boot with new campaign
Timberland has unveiled its global campaign Advice of an Icon, featuring filmmaker Spike Lee, musician Skepta and model-actor Kiko Mizuhara. The Fall/Winter 2025 initiative pays tribute to the cultural influence of the Original Yellow Boot, which has been a symbol of resilience and style for more than five decades.
The campaign was shot by photographer and director Gabriel Moses, known for his saturated color palettes and evocative imagery. Each of the three featured talents represents a distinct creative journey, framed around themes of authenticity, artistry and dedication to craft.
Spike Lee, captured in striking portraits, shares advice rooted in his creative philosophy: "You have to have a work ethic. You gotta put the work in. You can't cheat that, if you're cheating, you're cheating yourself."
Skepta, who has played a pivotal role in taking grime music worldwide and influencing fashion and visual art, also features as part of the campaign. Completing the trio is Kiko Mizuhara, recognized for her multidisciplinary career and her role in reshaping contemporary style.
Maisie Willoughby, Chief Marketing Officer, Timberland: "As we head into FW25, Timberland continues to lean into its legacy while pushing culture forward. The Advice of an Icon campaign is a bold tribute to unapologetic self-expression and timeless craft. At its core is the Original Yellow Boot, a global icon that has shaped style, work, and street culture for over 50 years."
The campaign highlights the enduring role of the Original Yellow Boot, characterized by its wheat color, craftsmanship and comfort. Beyond footwear, Timberland positions the boot as a cultural symbol of authenticity and longevity.
