The Cre8tors and WFP USA use art to fight hunger
The Cre8tors, the creative talent management and production consultancy led by Dani Jackson and Jenny Lumpkin, have partnered with World Food Program USA to launch Fill the Silence — a national campaign using art to challenge perceptions of global hunger and inspire action among younger audiences.
The campaign aims to reframe how people view hunger, shifting the narrative from crisis and despair to one of resilience, strength, and human potential. Rolling out across TV, digital, and social media, Fill the Silence features a public service announcement set to The Weeknd’s song Give Me Mercy, alongside events and collaborations with Gen Z creators and celebrity advocates.
Using art to reframe the story of hunger
At the heart of the campaign are works by The Cre8tors-represented artists Indie 184 (Soraya Marquez) and Brandon Breaux, whose pieces spotlight eight individuals affected by hunger around the world. The artwork presents them as active protagonists — people defined not by hardship, but by determination and dignity.
Dani Jackson, Founder and Partner, The Cre8tors: “Hunger isn’t about scarcity; it’s about access, funding, and the collective will to act for the 735 million people facing hunger worldwide. Indie and Brandon’s work challenges us to see people not through crisis, but through their humanity, strength, and perseverance. This is the kind of work we love to do.”
Disrupting the visual language of crisis
For Chicago-based visual artist Brandon Breaux, the project was an opportunity to reclaim how hunger is portrayed. “Often, these types of campaigns lean into emotion and pity. I wanted to show empowerment, strength, and resistance. My goal is to make art that, when these individuals see it, they feel proud and empowered by their own image.”
Brandon Rochon, advertising executive, World Food Program USA Board Member. “Dire photos and desperate pleas—nothing seems to shock or move us anymore. Fill the Silence will disrupt conventions and use art to forge connection and inspire action. It celebrates the inherent power, resilience, and unlimited potential of the children, mothers, fathers, and grandparents facing hunger.”
A movement for the Zero Hunger Generation
World Food Program USA will also launch the Zero Hunger Generation, a youth-led advocacy initiative encouraging young adults to take action against global hunger. Through storytelling and visual creativity, the organisation hopes Fill the Silence will inspire empathy, awareness, and support for its mission to provide lifesaving food assistance worldwide.
