Teleflora campaign rewrites motherhood narrative
Floral delivery service Teleflora has launched a Mother’s Day campaign addressing the emotional strain many mothers experience, following a national survey indicating that 91 percent of mothers report feeling “mom guilt”.
The campaign, titled “If You’ve Worried”, is built around the idea that many mothers question whether they are doing enough for their children. It aims to reframe that narrative by emphasising appreciation over perfection, positioning flowers as a symbolic gesture of recognition and gratitude.
Campaign film explores everyday parenting pressures
The creative follows a mother navigating everyday doubts, from feeling overly strict to not being present enough. As the story unfolds, a surprise bouquet from her family shifts the tone, reinforcing the message that care and love matter more than perceived perfection.
The campaign is timed with Mother’s Day and aligns with Mental Health Awareness Month, reflecting broader conversations around parental wellbeing and emotional pressure.
Research highlights widespread parental pressure
The findings are based on a survey commissioned by Teleflora and conducted by Kantar. It shows that nearly three in four mothers feel they are not doing enough for their children, with working mothers reporting even higher levels of stress.
John Ludwig, vice president of marketing and e-commerce at Teleflora: "Moms are too often under tremendous pressure, carrying the invisible load of managing a household on their shoulders. This campaign is an ode to moms and our way of saying – we see you, and we thank you."
The research also indicates that Gen Z and millennial mothers experience particularly high levels of guilt, with social media, internal expectations and comparison with other parents identified as key contributing factors.
Expert insights highlight emotional strain
The campaign was developed in collaboration with parenting specialists Deena Margolin and Kristin Gallant of Big Little Feelings, who emphasise the prevalence of unrealistic parenting standards and the psychological pressure they create.
The findings suggest that a large majority of mothers would benefit from greater reassurance in their parenting role, with younger demographics expressing the strongest need for validation.
Multi-platform rollout targets parents
The campaign, created by Wonderful Agency, will run across connected TV, digital video, social media platforms and parenting-focused podcasts.
Teleflora is also promoting its Mother’s Day floral range, with arrangements delivered by local florists and presented in reusable keepsake containers.
