Suburban life takes the wheel in Uber’s new brand push
Uber is shifting focus to America’s suburbs with its latest brand campaign, There Are Drivers In Your Area, created in partnership with Mother New York. The campaign captures authentic, everyday moments of suburban life to show that available and reliable rides are closer than many people think.
Through a series of cinematic and relatable stories, the campaign highlights how Uber can make suburban life easier—whether it’s heading to the airport, going out with friends, juggling family activities, or dealing with a sudden car issue. By positioning Uber as a dependable part of daily routines, the campaign aims to redefine the brand’s relevance in areas traditionally known for car ownership.
The rollout includes aerial and dynamic OOH, social and audio elements, and short films such as Airport Dad, Clock, and Tired Dog. The campaign’s centerpiece, In Good Time, is an anthemic long-form film directed by Michael Spiccia of MJZ.
It follows a couple through fleeting moments before their Uber arrives—beginning with an encounter at a suburban bar and ending with a minute that changes everything. The spot demonstrates how the right ride, at the right moment, can alter the course of a day or even a life.
Oriel Davis-Lyons, chief creative officer, Mother New York: “This campaign is about the tapestry of life that happens across America’s suburbs every day and the way Uber is a thread keeping it all together and moving. It’s a big, expansive story-driven platform for a brand that is inextricably woven into the fabric of daily life in America.”
With this campaign, Uber continues to expand its role beyond urban mobility, reinforcing its presence in suburban communities.
Georgie Jeffreys, head of marketing, Uber North America: “Our new campaign reminds consumers of the moments when Uber can help you get around — whether it’s heading to the airport, traveling with your dog, or when your own car lets you down. We’re reimagining how Uber fits into daily life outside the city, because wherever you are, there’s a driver you can count on.”
By turning its attention to the suburbs, Uber aims to position itself not only as a city convenience but as an everyday mobility solution across the American landscape.
