Paze taps Banks and Union for national campaign
Titled Paze. It Checks Out, the campaign focuses on simplifying online checkout
Paze has launched a national advertising campaign featuring actors Elizabeth Banks and Gabrielle Union, using the coincidence of their surnames to highlight the digital wallet's connection to banks and credit unions. Created with agency Big Spaceship, the campaign promotes the online checkout solution as it continues expanding across financial institutions and merchants in the United States.
Titled Paze. It Checks Out, the campaign focuses on simplifying online checkout while offering additional security by ensuring consumers' full card numbers are not shared with merchants during transactions.
Campaign highlights checkout security
The campaign uses humour to draw attention to Paze's core proposition: enabling consumers to complete online purchases using eligible cards from participating banks and credit unions without creating additional accounts or passwords.
Serge Elkiner, General Manager, Paze: "When your campaign stars Elizabeth Banks and Gabrielle Union, you try not to overthink it. But the connection works because the product does too. Consumers want online checkout to feel simple, secure, and streamlined."
Actors bring humour to financial services marketing
The creative concept centres on the names of the two actors while reinforcing the role banks and credit unions play in offering the service.
Elizabeth Banks: "The Banks and Union connection was honestly too perfect to pass up."
Gabrielle Union: "The campaign has this playful energy, but underneath it is something really relatable: people want checkout to feel easy and secure."
Expansion continues across merchants and banks
The campaign launches as Paze expands its network of participating merchants and financial institutions. Recent merchant additions include Domino's, Dunkin' and Wendy's, while Citi has begun offering the service to its customers.
According to the company, more than 200 million credit and debit cards have been added to Paze, allowing consumers to access the checkout option through participating financial institutions.
Building on financial technology experience
Paze is operated by Early Warning Services, the company behind the Zelle person-to-person payments network. The company is applying its experience in large-scale financial services infrastructure to online checkout.
Mark Messing, Vice President of Global Digital Marketing, Domino's: "Domino's is focused on giving customers a great experience all around, and that includes making sure their checkout process is seamless. We're excited to bring even more convenience to them by offering a new, innovative way to check out online with Paze."
The campaign will run across connected television, digital video and social media channels, with additional support from participating financial institutions and merchant partners.
