Nissan turns BNA into a Tennessee showcase
The campaign, running through the end of October, is expected to reach more than 2 million passengers who travel through BNA each month
Nissan Americas is putting its Tennessee heritage at the center of a major airport campaign at Nashville International Airport (BNA), using a rooftop Nissan Z display, a 14-foot Pathfinder Rock Creek installation and employee-focused videos to highlight the company’s presence in the state.
The campaign, running through the end of October, is expected to reach more than 2 million passengers who travel through BNA each month. It celebrates Nissan’s more than 8,000 full-time Tennessee employees and the company’s manufacturing and corporate operations in the region.
Nissan brings Tennessee manufacturing to BNA
The Nashville area is home to Nissan’s Americas headquarters and its Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant, which has been part of the company’s U.S. manufacturing footprint since 1983. The plant has also produced INFINITI vehicles in Tennessee for nearly 15 years.

Nissan’s Powertrain Assembly Plant in Decherd, Tennessee, recently marked the assembly of its 20 millionth engine since opening in 1977.
Victor Taylor, division vice president, U.S. manufacturing, supply chain management and production engineering, Nissan Americas: "Nissan's roots run deep in Middle Tennessee, where rugged and confident vehicles like Pathfinder are assembled by our talented team. This takeover is a tribute to the thousands of Tennessee employees who power our brand every day, and a bold reminder that Nissan is woven into the fabric of this community."
Nissan Z rooftop display welcomes travelers
A large rooftop installation next to the airport features a Nissan Z beneath a Welcome to Nashville display. The vehicle’s headlights and taillights remain illuminated day and night, making the installation visible to passengers arriving at and departing from BNA.
Nissan used a real Z for the display, stripping it down, reinforcing it and custom-mounting it on the rooftop. Positioned toward runway 20R, the installation creates a landmark for travelers approaching Nashville.
Pathfinder Rock Creek takes center stage
Inside the terminal, passengers will find a 14-foot-tall recreation of a plastic toy-car package featuring the Tennessee-assembled Pathfinder Rock Creek. The installation is located in a high-traffic area after security and includes a QR code directing visitors to NissanUSA.com for more information about the SUV.
The airport campaign also includes videos featuring employees from Nissan’s Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant. The content focuses on the people behind the company’s Tennessee manufacturing operations and its business in the U.S.
Nissan and BNA highlight regional impact
Doug Kreulen, president and CEO, Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority: "Nashville International Airport is proud to partner with Nissan in celebrating a company that has helped shape the economic vitality of Middle Tennessee for more than four decades. As two of the region's largest economic engines, Nissan and BNA play a critical role in attracting businesses, jobs and investments from around the world. Together, we are creating a welcome experience that reflects the innovation, craftsmanship and community pride that define Middle Tennessee."
The rooftop display, Pathfinder Rock Creek exhibit and employee videos will remain at BNA through the end of October, giving travelers a prominent look at Nissan’s manufacturing and corporate ties to Tennessee.
