Motion Sickness wins global Halter remit
The partnership will see Motion Sickness support Halter across brand strategy, advertising, product launches and design
New Zealand agri-tech company Halter has appointed independent creative agency Motion Sickness as its long-term creative partner, as the business accelerates its international expansion across Australia, the US and other global markets.
The partnership will see Motion Sickness support Halter across brand strategy, advertising, product launches, design, production and earned-first campaigns, working alongside the company's in-house marketing and brand team.
Creative support for global expansion
Halter has established itself as one of New Zealand's fastest-growing technology companies through its virtual fencing and livestock management platform. As the business expands internationally and broadens its product offering, it is seeking additional strategic and creative support to build its brand in new markets.
Craig Piggott, Founder and CEO, Halter: "We're excited to partner with Motion Sickness. They're world-class when it comes to creative thinking across a wide range of areas, and we're looking forward to tapping into that as we keep building out our own team and taking Halter to even more parts of the world."
Piggott added that Motion Sickness was selected from a global pool of agencies because of its ability to contribute beyond traditional advertising while complementing Halter's existing in-house capabilities.
Independent agency builds international portfolio
For Motion Sickness, the appointment adds to a growing portfolio of international work as the agency expands its presence in Australia. The agency said an increasing share of its business now comes from brands operating across multiple markets.
Sam Stuchbury, Founder and Executive Creative Director, Motion Sickness: "Halter is one of the most ambitious companies we've ever worked with. They're building genuinely category-defining technology with enormous global ambition. That's exactly the kind of business we want to partner with."
Referring to the agency's Australian expansion, Sam Stuchbury added: "This is also a great step for our Sydney expansion, with Australia being a key focus for Halter. We're hunting for ideas that can pass through borders with ease and get farmers around the world talking about this brand."
Independent agencies target ambitious brands
The appointment reflects a broader shift towards independent agencies competing for global assignments traditionally handled by larger networks. For fast-growing technology companies such as Halter, creative partnerships are increasingly focused on strategic collaboration rather than outsourcing marketing functions.
Craig Piggott: "Motion Sickness understands the pace we move at and back our ambition. Just as important, they get that we've already got a strong marketing and brand team here. This is about giving that team more to work with as we continue expanding with new products and markets."
The companies said Motion Sickness will work closely with Halter's internal teams as the business continues its international expansion, with the partnership centred on supporting long-term brand growth across global markets.
