Maison Perrier turns romance into sparkling water ad
Maison Perrier has launched a global campaign titled “Can’t Kiss? French Kiss Instead”, introducing Maison Perrier French Kiss, a sparkling juice beverage positioned as the brand’s first range featuring juice and prebiotic ingredients. The work was developed in partnership with Ogilvy and rolls out across digital and streaming platforms.
The campaign presents the product as a sensory alternative to moments of romantic connection that do not fully materialise. It focuses on brief encounters between strangers, using visual storytelling to frame the drink as a playful substitute for intimacy and anticipation.
Campaign explores “near-miss” romantic moments
Set in Paris, the creative concept is built around short narrative vignettes where characters briefly connect before being separated by circumstance. These moments are resolved through the introduction of the beverage, which acts as a symbolic replacement for the kiss that does not happen.
The campaign launched in the United States with two core scenes, “Hotel” and “Metro”, both designed to highlight fleeting interactions in urban environments. Additional content is planned for future rollout.
Film production rooted in Parisian setting
The campaign film was directed by Rebecca Zlotowski and shot in Paris. It follows characters whose brief encounters unfold in everyday locations such as a hotel entrance and public transport system, reinforcing the campaign’s focus on urban spontaneity and missed connections.
Molly Lyons, senior marketing manager, Maison Perrier: "The effortlessly elevated French lifestyle has always been at the heart of our brand. With our new 'Can’t Kiss? French Kiss Instead' campaign, we’re channeling that signature French passion, infusing sensuality, spontaneity and style into a modern moment of yearning. When desire is in the air, but the timing isn’t right, French Kiss offers a sparkling ritual of bold flavor and bubbles designed to flirt with the senses and satisfy that craving for indulgence."
Product positioning expands beverage portfolio
Maison Perrier French Kiss is produced with at least 10 percent fruit juice and includes added fibre, positioning it within the functional sparkling beverage category. The range combines fruit pairings such as Blackberry & Lemon, Peach & Cherry, Mango & Coconut, and Raspberry & Lime.
The product line is part of a broader expansion by Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages into the “better-for-you” drinks segment, targeting demand for lower-sugar and functional refreshment options.
Multi-platform rollout across streaming and digital
The campaign is distributed across social, digital and connected TV platforms including Amazon Prime, Roku, Peacock and Disney. It combines short-form storytelling with product-focused messaging designed for global audiences.
