Kantar introduces creator content measurement tool

Kantar has launched a creator content measurement framework designed to help marketers evaluate and compare creative performance across channels, formats and markets.

The framework forms part of a broader update to the company's LINK creative effectiveness platform and was developed with input from major global advertisers. It aims to provide a more consistent approach to assessing creator-led content as brands increase investment in influencer and creator partnerships.

Growing creator investment drives demand for measurement

According to Kantar's Media Reactions study, a net 61 percent of marketers globally plan to increase spending on creator content this year. However, the company found that only 27 percent of creator content currently delivers a clear connection back to the sponsoring brand.

Kantar said this highlights the challenge marketers face when assessing effectiveness across a fragmented creator ecosystem and making informed investment decisions.

Framework evaluates five performance dimensions

To address this issue, Kantar has introduced creator content testing capabilities within LINK AI. The system uses platform-specific benchmarks derived from the analysis of more than 21,000 pieces of creator content.

The Creator Content Effectiveness Framework evaluates content across five areas: brand power, sales power, engagement, algorithm favourability and cultural power.

By applying a consistent methodology across creator content and other marketing assets, Kantar said brands can scale creator partnerships while maintaining oversight of performance and brand impact.

New LINK score simplifies effectiveness assessment

The framework's findings are consolidated into an updated LINK score, which serves as a single measure of creative effectiveness.

According to Kantar, the score enables marketers to compare performance across different channels and formats using a common benchmark, helping teams manage increasingly complex campaigns and larger volumes of creative assets.

AI tools support optimisation and workflow integration

Alongside the measurement framework, Kantar has introduced a new API that allows the LINK score and effectiveness insights to be integrated into existing marketing technology platforms.

The company said this enables marketing teams to assess and improve creative performance within the tools they already use to develop and manage content.

Kantar has also launched an AI-powered content optimiser within LINK AI. The tool provides visual recommendations for both static and video assets before launch, helping teams refine creative work and improve potential campaign performance.

Ty Ahmad-Taylor, Chief Product Officer, Kantar: "Less than a third of creator content delivers measurable results for the brand, so marketing teams need predictive creator effectiveness measures that actually reveal what works. Otherwise, they risk wasting valuable budget. LINK AI for creator content replaces guesswork with consistent measurement that empowers brands to look past vanity metrics and focus on what drives impact, cultural relevance and growth. Now that LINK plugs straight into the platforms and tools marketers use every day, teams can make faster, smarter creative decisions at every step."
