Every pint counts in Heineken’s Women’s Football campaign

Every pint counts in Heineken’s Women’s Football campaign

Heineken has launched an initiative tied to this year’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final that will direct profits from a fan event toward organisations supporting women’s football communities.

The final, taking place in Oslo, Norway, on 23 May, will see face. Due to local restrictions on alcohol advertising in the host city, Heineken is instead hosting an event at Oslo Hackney in London for supporters watching the match.

Event supports grassroots football organisations

Heineken said profits from every pint sold during the event will be donated to community organisations including Baller FC, Goal Diggers FC, Romance FC, Victoria Park Vixens and Women in Football.

The company added that it will contribute additional funding beyond drink sales to support the organisations’ work across adult women’s football, equality initiatives and inclusive participation in the sport.

The event forms part of Heineken’s Fans Have More Friends sponsorship platform, which focuses on building social connections through football fandom.

Former players to attend fan event

Former and former will attend the event and take part in a pre-match discussion ahead of kick-off.

The venue will open at 4 pm and remain open until 3:30 am, with fans able to watch the match on large screens alongside DJ performances before and after the game.

Tickets for the event are available through Eventbrite on a first-come, first-served basis until the venue reaches capacity.

Heineken extends women’s football commitment

The initiative follows Heineken’s recent sponsorship extension with the UEFA Women’s Champions League through to 2030.

Toni Duggan: “Fans of women’s football are a proper community who play an integral role in supporting the growth of the game. That is why I’m so pleased to see Heineken using the UWCL Final to bring this incredible women’s football community together.”

Izzy Christiansen: “The Women’s Champions League final is one of the biggest moments in the football calendar, so it’s amazing to see Heineken using this as an opportunity to not only unite fans but also give back to the game.”

Campaign highlights social connection through sport

Nabil Nasser, Global Head, Heineken Brand: “As a long-time supporter of the women’s game, it’s important for us at Heineken to keep showing up for fans, even if not in the usual way at the stadium.”

Nabil Nasser: “The event brings fans together to celebrate the pinnacle of the women’s game, while every pint poured goes back to local community organisations growing and nurturing the game at all levels.”
