Electrolux highlights Swedish values in wash life balance campaign

Electrolux has launched Wash Life Balance, a global campaign that promotes its 900 series washing machine and tumble dryer while positioning laundry as faster and smarter. The campaign emphasizes how efficient technology frees up time for other activities, framed through Swedish lifestyle values.

At the center of the campaign is a 60-second film by Swedish director Jesper Ericstam. It contrasts the slow, intentional lifestyle of a young couple—hand-carving a canoe and grinding coffee beans one by one—with the swift performance of their washing machine, which completes a full load in 45 minutes. The narrative underscores how time saved on chores can be spent on more meaningful experiences.

Swedish values as creative platform

Nikos Bartzoulianos, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Electrolux: "Rooted in the understanding that most people want to spend as little time on chores as possible, Wash Life Balance is a stylistic celebration of Swedish values and the human-centric innovation we bring to every product experience. As a global brand founded in Sweden more than 100 years ago, at Electrolux we want to share how the Swedish approach to life can help people strike a rewarding balance. The campaign delivers on a consumer need for a quick wash and in turn, demonstrates the Electrolux purpose to shape living for the better as smart innovation meets intentional living."

Multi-market rollout with modular design

The campaign will run across TV, digital, social and retail platforms in Asia, Australia and Europe from August 15. Designed in a modular format, the work allows for local adaptation while maintaining a consistent creative approach. Messaging ranges from product-specific benefits to broader lifestyle storytelling.

The campaign builds on Electrolux’s previous Tough Being Beautiful platform, continuing its collaboration with Publicis London. Both initiatives focus on aligning brand communications with Sweden’s reputation for quality of life.

Creativity and innovation in harmony

Noel Bunting, Chief Creative Officer, Publicis London: "If we can inspire the world, together with Electrolux, to embrace that 'wash life balance' and help people live a slower, more Swedish lifestyle, then that's the power of international creativity and human-centric product innovation working in perfect harmony."
