Celebrities share their favourite Pokémon in new campaign

The Pokémon Company International has launched a global campaign, What’s Your Favourite?, marking 30 years of the Pokémon franchise. The initiative encourages fans worldwide to share their favorite Pokémon and kicked off during Super Bowl LX with a new commercial, available on Pokémon’s official YouTube channel.

The campaign features contributions from celebrities including Lady Gaga, Trevor Noah, Charles Leclerc, Jisoo, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Lamine Yamal and Young Miko, each highlighting their favorite Pokémon. The campaign aims to showcase the diversity of the global Pokémon community and the brand’s enduring cultural impact.

Celebrating Pokémon’s global fan community

Kenji Okubo, President of The Pokémon Company International: "Since the franchise debuted 30 years ago, Trainers have often asked each other, ‘What’s Your Favorite?’ — it’s a question that sparks passionate discussion and reminds fans that no matter who they are, there is a Pokémon for them. As we gear up for a year packed full of fan-focused celebrations, we thank Trainers around the world for being part of our diverse, global and multigenerational community, and we can’t wait to surprise and delight them with more offerings and experiences in the coming months."

Fans can participate in the What’s Your Favorite? campaign through Pokémon GO, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. A new camera feature allows Trainers to feature their favorite Pokémon in photos, while the hashtag #Pokemon30 provides a platform to view favorites shared by fans worldwide.

Interactive events for Trainers

The campaign also includes a series of in-person events designed to bring the community together. Pokémon will host “Day Out” and “Night Out” experiences throughout the year. Day Out events will offer family-friendly programming, while Night Out events will provide surprises for longtime fans. Full details of both event types will be announced in the coming months.
