Carhartt campaign celebrates workers behind the outdoors
Global premium workwear brand Carhartt has launched the next chapter of its Made Possible campaign, celebrating the people whose work behind the scenes makes America’s great outdoors accessible.
The campaign centers on a short film, Making the Blue Ridge Parkway Possible, which documents the efforts of crews maintaining the 469-mile Parkway across North Carolina and Virginia.
The film highlights hardworking teams, including the family-run Maymead Road Crew, who restore the Parkway following harsh winter conditions and reconstruction after Hurricane Helene in 2024. The campaign also showcases key destinations along the route, such as Ecco Adesso Vineyards, North Carolina Arboretum, Appalachian Wildlife Refuge and the Adventure Center of Asheville.
Spotlight on skilled trades and preservation
Norma Delaney, Vice President of Marketing & Brand Creative at Carhartt: "Every great adventure begins with the hands of hardworking people. From repaving our parkways to rescuing wildlife, these individuals don't just care for the outdoors — they make it possible for all of us to connect with nature and create lifelong memories. At Carhartt, we are honored to shine a light on the efforts of those who work in the skilled trades and ensure they have the durable gear they need to get the job done."
As part of the campaign, Carhartt is donating $50,000 to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation. The funding will expand volunteer programs and provide training, tools and equipment to support crews maintaining the Parkway and ensure the area continues to thrive for future generations.
Jordan Calaway, Chief Development Officer of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation: "The recovery and restoration of the Blue Ridge Parkway after Hurricane Helene has been a monumental effort, showcasing the strength and resilience of our community. Carhartt's generous donation will help us continue our mission to protect this treasured landscape, inspire the next generation of land stewards and ensure the Parkway remains a beacon of cultural and environmental preservation for years to come."
Digital and merchandise extensions
Creative from the campaign will run across Carhartt’s website, social channels, digital platforms, and both linear and connected TV.
Delaney: "The extension of the Made Possible campaign allows us to continue to celebrate hardworking people in the skilled trades. Whether you're repairing roads or preparing the land for a new season of growth, we hope the campaign inspires the next generation to explore the countless career paths and opportunities available in the trades."
Additionally, an exclusive line of national park-inspired graphic t-shirts, featuring Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks, will be available for purchase this spring, complementing the campaign and its focus on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
