Canva inspires UK businesses with multi-channel creative push

Canva has launched a UK-wide campaign with Stink Studios aimed at inspiring businesses to unlock their creativity. The multi-channel initiative spans broadcast, outdoor, digital, audio, and social channels, and is supported by a charity-driven sandwich collaboration with the national chain Sandwich Sandwich.

The campaign is designed to demonstrate how Canva enables professionals and entrepreneurs to turn ideas into impactful work. Alongside traditional media channels, the collaboration with Sandwich Sandwich brings the concept into everyday life, with limited-edition sandwiches raising funds for East London Business Alliance and Spitalfields Crypt Trust.

Multi-platform storytelling

Building on June’s Waterloo billboard takeover, the new campaign maintains a tongue-in-cheek tone. A hero brand film, produced by Stink Studios and directed by Eoin Glaister, tells the story of Debbie & Sons, a family sandwich business that finds success by refreshing its brand identity with Canva’s creative tools.

Amanda Zafiris, Head of Marketing, Europe, Canva: "While there’s no shortage of creative ideas among the UK workforce, many struggle to bring them to life. This campaign shows how Canva helps everyone – from startup owners to brand builders – turn ideas into work you’re proud to put out. Built for impact and made to delight, the campaign goes beyond TV and billboards with a charity-fuelled sandwich collaboration, designed to be experienced out of the box and in people’s hands, bringing the campaign’s creativity (and fun!) to life."

Creative executions across the UK

The campaign runs from September to November and features a 30-second hero ad, product-focused films across streaming platforms, bold billboard executions on commuter routes, and special builds in Shepherds Bush, London Bridge, and Borough. Digital display, audio, podcast sponsorships, and social media placements round out the plan.

Cameron Temple, Executive Creative Director, Stink Studios: "You know that feeling you get when you sit back, look at something you've made, and think, 'wow, that's really, really good'? That spark of pride and joy you get from nailing it is what Canva helps create. Each touchpoint of this campaign is designed to bottle that moment and show you that great design can take your ideas further – whether you're setting up a spreadsheet or switching up the sandwich game."

Sandwiches with purpose

To celebrate the campaign, Sandwich Sandwich will serve a limited-edition crisp and pickle sandwich from 8 to 12 September. The creation will be packaged in custom Canva Grab & Go boxes and sold nationwide, with all proceeds going to charity. A branded food truck will also tour London, handing out free sandwiches, while the first 250 sandwiches at the Gresham Street store will be free to customers.

At Canva’s London office, employees are contributing by preparing sandwiches for Spitalfields Crypt Trust as part of the company’s Force for Good initiative. On the platform, UK users will be able to access themed templates tied to the Debbie & Sons campaign story.

Tom Carey, Creative Director for Europe, Canva: "With this campaign we wanted to celebrate the power and importance of design in a way that felt truly British (and what’s more British than a sandwich?). So many people across Britain have good ideas, but most of them don’t know how to bring them to life; which is where Canva comes in. Canva makes your good ideas look really, really good, and most importantly, work. In our campaign, we celebrated exactly that: design helping Debbie’s (& Sons) business take off (literally). In a digital-first world, good design is no longer a nice to have – it’s the difference between a good idea, and a really good business."
