Cannes Lions 2024: Introducing Ali Rez, Andrey Tyukavkin, Callum McCahon

Ali Rez

Chief Creative Officer, IMPACT BBDO

Named Creative-Person-of-the-Year three times by Campaign magazine and Advertising Person of the Year 2024 at Dubai Lynx, Ali Rez is the most awarded creative leader in the Middle East, and currently leads creative output for the IMPACT BBDO Group across the MENAP region.

Rez’s work has been instrumental in Impact BBDO being named the No.2 Agency In The World on the WARC report, while winning 29 different No.1-Agency-in-MENA accolades in 2022/2023.

Rez has won more than 900 international awards in his career spanning four continents over 20 years, which include Grands Prix at all the major shows – awards which have led him to be ranked No.1 ECD in MENA and APAC on several creative rankings. In 2023, he was the first jury president ever at Cannes Lions to represent the Middle East. 

Andrey Tyukavkin

Chief Innovation & Experience Officer Publicis Groupe CEE

Andrey is a highly acclaimed creative director and advertising executive who has emerged as a force to be reckoned with and made a significant impact in the advertising industry.

He began his advertising career as a copywriter in 2009 and has worked his way up the ranks to become an Executive Creative Director. He has been consistently recognized as one of the top creative minds in the advertising industry and was ranked as the #3 top-rated Executive Creative Director at Cannes Lions in 2022.

As a jury member at Cannes Lions, Tyukavkin brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. His keen eye for detail and his ability to identify truly innovative and groundbreaking work make him a valuable asset to the jury. 

Callum McCahon

Chief Strategy Officer, Born Social

Callum McCahon has pioneered brand building in a social-first era, as the Chief Strategy Officer at Born Social. In his decade at Born Social, he has led the industry conversation on how brands not only navigate today's complex landscape but go on to win. He advises some of the world’s biggest brands, including Diageo, Ford, and Mars on transforming their marketing models.

He operates at the intersection of brand building fundamentals and how they must evolve for the environments of tomorrow. His thought leadership played a critical role in Born Social being recognized as this year’s Campaign's Digital Innovation Agency of the Year.

Callum has authored several industry-renowned white papers including ‘The Social-First Brand’ and ’Brand Building on Social Media’, which was recently taken to the TedX stage. His insights on modern brand building have also been featured in publications including The Guardian, Campaign, and WARC.
