Bud Light turns Super Bowl weekend into a keg party

Bud Light is returning to the Super Bowl stage with a campaign that brings together familiar faces, a loose keg and a nationwide promotional push aimed at NFL fans across the US.

The beer brand’s Super Bowl LX commercial, titled Keg, reunites Post Malone, Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning at a wedding where celebrations take an unexpected turn. The spot anchors a wider Super Bowl season plan that includes a national keg rebate and live fan activations tied to the AFC and NFC Championship cities.

A wedding, a runaway keg and a familiar trio

The 60-second film opens at a wedding reception where Post Malone, Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning are among the guests. When a Bud Light keg breaks loose outside the venue and begins rolling downhill, the entire wedding party gives chase. As Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You plays, guests slide and tumble down the hill in a bid to save the keg, underscoring the lengths people will go to for Bud Light.

The pursuit ends with Shane Gillis calmly walking down the hill unscathed, tapping the keg and restoring the celebration as drinks begin to flow.

Post Malone, longtime partner, Bud Light : "I haven't been to too many weddings, but this was one I definitely couldn't miss. It's always a party on set with Bud Light and I was stoked to reunite with my boys and return for my fifth Super Bowl commercial with Bud Light."

Shane Gillis: "Doing a second Super Bowl commercial with Bud Light this year was great. I was glad to hang out with Post and Peyton again for this one."

Peyton Manning: "Nobody does Super Bowl like Bud Light, so getting to be part of their commercial for the third year in a row was incredible. It's always a good time when Post, Shane and I get together, and this wedding is going to be the can't-miss event of Super Bowl Sunday."

Nationwide keg rebates for Super Bowl season

Alongside the creative, Bud Light is rolling out a national promotion offering fans aged 21 and over 60 dollars off a Bud Light keg through Super Bowl LX. The offer is positioned as a nod to 60 years of Super Bowl history, with consumers able to access the rebate by scanning a QR code at purchase.

The brand is also offering 10 dollars off pitchers or buckets of Bud Light at participating bars across the country during the Super Bowl period.

Todd Allen, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Bud Light: "As the Official Beer Sponsor of the NFL for over 20 years, creating an iconic Super Bowl campaign is an opportunity we don't take lightly. This year, our Keg TVC and overall plan is set to create a memorable Super Bowl LX weekend for NFL fans across the country."

Live activations in Foxborough and Seattle

Bud Light’s Super Bowl activity extends beyond advertising and promotions into live fan experiences. In the week following the conference championship games, the brand is delivering custom Super Bowl kegs to Gillette Stadium and Lumen Field, giving fans in Foxborough and Seattle the chance to win a keg’s worth of beer or tickets to Super Bowl LX in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The winning city is set to host a wider celebration after the game, with Bud Light planning to tap kegs during the championship parade alongside a former team legend, turning the victory into a city-wide moment for fans.
