The One Club and CapCut expand AI partnership
The partnership will span four of The One Club’s major awards programs, alongside in-person and virtual events and a creator-focused content series
The One Club for Creativity has partnered with CapCut, part of ByteDance, in a global agreement that will make the AI-powered editing platform the nonprofit creative organization’s premier AI partner.
The partnership will span four of The One Club’s major awards programs, alongside in-person and virtual events and a creator-focused content series. CapCut offers photo and video editing across desktop and mobile, with features including graphic design, collaboration and AI-powered tools.
CapCut partners with four global awards programs
The agreement includes the creation of a custom category for the Art Directors Club’s ADC Annual Awards, with details scheduled to be announced in October. CapCut will also serve as presenting partner for ADC Young Guns 24, a global competition for creative professionals aged 30 or younger that is currently open for entries.
The partnership will also include a special CapCut brief competition within the Young Ones Student Awards. Students will have the opportunity to compete for awards including a One Show Pencil, ADC Cube, Type Directors Club TDC Award or Portfolio Award. CapCut will additionally present The One Show 2027 Creative Use of AI discipline.
One Club expands ByteDance relationship
The agreement expands The One Club’s relationship with ByteDance. TikTok became a founding partner of The One Club’s ONE Creator Lab in 2023, supporting a tuition-free program designed to help content creators develop skills for careers in advertising and marketing.
TikTok also partnered with The One Club on the inaugural One Show Best Use of TikTok award in 2025. Separately, the ADC Annual Awards partnered with Dreamina AI in 2026 on the ADC AI Visual Design-Dreamina AI category, focused on generative visual craft.
Partnership focuses on AI and creative work
The CapCut agreement will extend beyond awards programs through a series of in-person and virtual creative events and a related creator content series. The organizations said details of those initiatives will be announced later.
Adam Izen, Chief Awards Officer at The One Club: "As AI becomes an increasingly important part of the creative process, this partnership brings together our shared commitment to championing exceptional work and the people pushing creativity forward. We're thankful to the team at CapCut and look forward to working with them to help define what creative excellence looks like in the age of AI."
