Talon launches AI planning tool for OOH campaigns

Talon has introduced Atlas Planner, an AI-driven planning engine designed to enhance programmatic digital out of home (PDOOH) campaign planning through improved speed, insight and real-time optimisation.

The system enables planners to input briefs in natural language or upload documents, automatically generating campaign structures, audience recommendations and buying parameters. It also visualises delivery across locations, showing projected impressions, costs and screen availability in real time.

AI integration across OOH planning ecosystem

Atlas Planner forms part of Talon’s wider Atlas technology suite, which combines audience data, planning tools and creative optimisation into a connected workflow. The suite includes Atlas Insights for audience identification and Atlas Studio for contextual creative execution.

By integrating these capabilities, the platform aims to support more connected planning across programmatic out of home activity, using behavioural data and predictive modelling to refine targeting and activation strategies.

Andy Stevens, Global Chief Product Officer, Talon: “Atlas Planner is the next step in our journey to reach people in the real world with more precision, more relevance and greater impact. Powered by an AI planning engine, it brings multiple OOH-specific data sources together and puts them directly in planners’ hands, so teams can move faster and make better decisions. Crucially, this isn’t automation for automation’s sake. It’s people led, tech enabled planning that gives our clients clarity, confidence and clearer ROI.”

The platform is positioned as a tool to support decision-making rather than replace planning expertise, combining automation with human oversight.

Global rollout begins in the US

Atlas Planner launches first in the United States, where demand for programmatic out of home continues to grow. Rollouts in the United Kingdom and Canada are scheduled for July, with wider international expansion planned through 2026.

Sue Frogley, Global Chief Executive Officer, Talon: “Atlas Planner’s powerful AI architecture is designed to elevate, not replace, the expertise of our world-class OOH talent. By surfacing richer data, faster insight and more flexible activation into a single platform, we’ve created a full OOH tech-stack that gives our teams, and our clients, a huge leap forward in capability. Launching first in the US reflects the scale of opportunity we see there.”
