Stagwell introduces AI-powered media platform
The system also connects with advertising ecosystems allowing media planning and activation through a single workflow
Stagwell has introduced The Media Machine, an AI-powered media operating system designed to automate and optimise media planning, buying and campaign management across the full marketing lifecycle.
Developed by GALE in collaboration with media agency Assembly and the Stagwell Media Platform, the system combines more than 20 AI agents with human oversight to support campaign planning, activation, optimisation and measurement across multiple advertising platforms.
AI operating system extends media capabilities
The Media Machine builds on the launch of The Machine, Stagwell's AI operating system for marketing introduced earlier this year. Rather than replacing existing software, the platform integrates with commonly used marketing tools including Figma, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Adobe applications and performance dashboards.
The system also connects with advertising ecosystems including Google's GMP products, Meta, Microsoft, LinkedIn, TikTok and The Trade Desk, allowing media planning and activation through a single workflow. A unified identity graph supports audience planning from campaign briefing through to activation, while modelling tools continuously update performance insights. The platform also incorporates Stagwell Search+, providing visibility into large language model search rankings.
Mark Penn, Chairman and CEO, Stagwell: "The launch of The Media Machine marks a major step forward in Stagwell's media strategy. Along with our investment in The Machine and our agentic targeting system with Palantir, The Media Machine moves us toward a next-generation media model powered by AI across the full campaign lifecycle."
Focus on automation and optimisation
According to Stagwell, the operating system supports automated campaign optimisation, algorithmic media investment allocation and cross-platform activation while keeping people responsible for key strategic decisions.
The company says the platform is designed to improve campaign agility, audience targeting and media efficiency through continuous optimisation and real-time decision support.
Slavi Samardzija, Global Chair of Media & Commerce, Stagwell: "The Media Machine is first of its kind industry application, that goes beyond planning, into extensive automation of cross-platform activation, from campaign and line-item creation to always-on algorithmic investment reallocation. Our teams can now act with agility and speed, connecting every signal and delivering better outcomes for clients, while keeping humans firmly in control of every critical decision."
Platform aims to reshape agency operations
Stagwell says the operating system combines unified measurement, audience modelling and workflow automation to provide greater accountability across campaign execution. The company also expects the platform to support changes to agency operating models by introducing AI orchestration capabilities alongside traditional media teams.
Brad Nunn, Managing Director, Media, GALE: "Built by our media practitioners with deep activation expertise, The Media Machine was designed to solve the fundamental limitations that arise when conversational layers are bolted onto legacy tools. It offers a deep, robust foundational layer with extensive customization options, empowering each agency and brand to define and shape its most successful version."
The launch follows a series of AI-focused initiatives from Stagwell, including the introduction of the Stagwell Media Platform, Stagwell Search+ and Agent Cloud.
