Rembrand merges with Spaceback to launch AI video ad platform

Rembrand, a company specializing in AI-driven virtual product placement, has merged with Spaceback, a platform that automates the transformation of social media posts into programmatic ads. The combined company introduces an AI-powered solution that allows advertisers to convert existing video content into programmatic-ready ads.

Through the platform, brands can either enhance video content with virtual in-content advertising or turn social posts into video ads for connected TV, digital video, and display.

The merger builds on both companies’ shared mission to create ad experiences that feel closer to authentic content. The platform aims to help advertisers keep pace with cultural trends, offering faster creative production cycles that align with how audiences consume media.

Industry research highlights the importance of creative quality, noting that factors such as authenticity, cultural relevance, and visual storytelling drive more than half of campaign effectiveness. Rembrand positions its new platform as a response to this challenge, enabling advertisers to move from discovery to activation within a single workflow.

Omar Tawakol, CEO, Rembrand: “This is a reset for what creative means in advertising. By fusing Rembrand's AI and our history in virtual product placement with Spaceback's ability to scale social content into high-performing ads, we're giving brands the tools to move faster, connect deeper, and show up in ways that work better than traditional ads that get skipped or ignored.”

Operating under the Rembrand name, the unified platform is available immediately. Marketers can discover content aligned with their audience, augment it with AI, generate video ads instantly, and activate across major demand-side platforms including connected TV and digital video.

Both companies had previous integrations with The Trade Desk, and the solution will remain available there while expanding to additional DSPs and media platforms in the coming weeks.

By combining virtual placement, social content adaptation, and programmatic activation, Rembrand aims to offer advertisers an alternative to traditional ad formats that struggle to capture attention. The company positions its approach as a way to create stronger connections and measurable outcomes in video advertising.
