One Club, Google launch global AI creative challenge
Participants will face a secret creative brief and use generative AI to produce a response under time pressure
The One Club for Creativity and Google have launched the global One Club AI Creative Challenge, a live competition that will bring AI creators together for timed creative battles across 16 cities. The tournament will award $50,000 in prize money and crown an AI Creative Champion.
Following competitions held during The One Club’s Creative Week 2026 in May and Google Creative House at Cannes in June, the global competition will test participants on creative thinking, technical ability and speed as they respond to randomly assigned briefs using generative AI.
AI creators compete in timed creative battles
The competition will feature 128 AI experts competing in 10-minute sprints. Participants will face a secret creative brief and use generative AI to produce a response under time pressure.
A jury of senior creatives will evaluate competitors on speed, prompt mastery and creative execution. One winner from each city will advance through the single-elimination bracket, with quarterfinal and semifinal rounds leading to the global final.
One Club AI Creative Challenge spans 16 cities
The competition will take place across three regional legs.
In the US and Canada, events are scheduled for Los Angeles on September 3 and Toronto on November 12. EMEA and Latin America will host events in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Dubai, Istanbul, London, Lisbon, Mexico City and São Paulo between September and November.
APAC events will take place in Mumbai on October 27, Tokyo on October 16 and Sydney on November 19. The Mexico City date is yet to be announced.
Global AI creative champion to be crowned
The city champions will progress through the tournament before competing in the grand finale, hosted by Google in New York on February 18, 2027.
Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club for Creativity: "The AI Creative Challenge celebrates what happens when human imagination meets the latest AI technology. This isn't about replacing creativity. It's about showcasing the next generation of creative talent, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and giving creatives around the world a global stage to compete, learn, and inspire one another. Together with Google, we're building a competition that will help define the future of creative excellence."
All local events are free to attend and open to creative professionals and the general public. Registration is available through the competition timeline, where attendees can select their city and register.
