Lenovo launches AI network to connect young creatives
Lenovo has partnered with cultural innovation agency Sounds Fun to launch the Make Space Network, a digital platform designed to connect creatives through AI-enabled collaboration.
Positioned as a digital third space, the Make Space Network allows creatives, influencers and collaborators to define their AI-supported creative identity, discover peers and receive prompts for experimental projects and partnerships. The platform aims to reduce barriers to collaboration in an increasingly competitive creator economy.
Reducing friction in creative collaboration
The initiative reflects a broader industry debate around the role of AI in creative work. Rather than replacing human interaction, the partners position the tool as a way to facilitate introductions and encourage collaboration.
Martin Magner, Co-founder and CCO, Sounds Fun: "We built this Network not to replace real connection, but to soften the hardest part: the beginning. Leveraging AI to help connect like-minded creatives, the tool removes some of the friction and fear that stops people from reaching out in the first place. It creates a gentler entry point, one where you’re not shouting into the void or forcing yourself into rooms that don’t feel right. Creativity doesn’t thrive in isolation, it needs mirrors, conversations, shared momentum. Sometimes all it takes is one aligned connection to unlock something that’s been stuck for months."
Martin Magner: "The AI landscape is incredibly polarizing. At Sounds Fun we’re always looking to create tools and experiences with emerging tech to ensure this can all mean more creative opportunities, not less. The Make Space Network is more than a network, it’s a permission slip for young creatives to reach, share, and create without fear."
Phased rollout and creator partnerships
The Make Space Network is launching in phases. Lenovo first announced the initiative in December, followed by editorial collaborations with Dazed Media.
The final phase centres on a hero film developed by Sounds Fun in collaboration with creators Illumitati, Isabella Lalonde and Oseanworld, directed by Maya Margolina. The film introduces a social content series exploring each creator’s process and approach to their work.
With the Make Space Network, Lenovo and Sounds Fun aim to position AI as an enabler of creative exchange, focusing on connection and experimentation rather than automation alone.
