Accenture invests in Alembic to boost AI marketing intelligence
Accenture Ventures has invested in Alembic, an AI-powered causal marketing intelligence platform that identifies which marketing activities generate return on investment. Alongside the investment, Accenture and Alembic have formed a strategic partnership designed to help clients measure marketing effectiveness in real time and use AI insights to drive revenue.
Gartner research indicates that two-thirds of marketing leaders face challenges proving the business impact of their work. Alembic’s platform analyses data from broadcast, social, site traffic and direct-to-consumer channels, connecting these signals with sales results. By assigning an impact score to each action, the platform reveals cause-and-effect relationships that marketers can use to guide spending decisions.
Causal AI to support enterprise transformation
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO, Accenture: "Our clients are not just implementing AI; they are undergoing total enterprise reinvention, which hinges on trust and intelligence at the digital core. Alembic’s Causal AI provides exactly that by moving the enterprise beyond correlation to deliver the verifiable, cause-and-effect insights leaders need to act with decisive speed."
Alembic can process traditionally hard-to-measure channels such as brand campaigns, sponsorships, events and organic social activity, even as customer data continues to expand. The platform can also model the impact of external shifts, including public policy changes, helping companies adjust strategy to protect marketing investment or uncover growth opportunities.
Partnership expands access to real-time attribution
Tomás Puig, founder and CEO, Alembic: "This investment and collaboration with Accenture will help us reach more companies that want to understand what really drives their results. Most companies are not short on data. They are short on answers, and that is where our NVIDIA SuperPOD backbone makes the difference. It gives us the compute power to uncover cause and effect in real time and show what truly drives growth. Together we are turning that data into concrete insights leaders can act on."
Arun Kumar, global customer AI and data lead, Accenture Song: "This partnership between Accenture and Alembic is a paradigm shift in measurement. Alembic’s capabilities complement existing approaches, such as market mix modelling, but now with seemingly limitless variables that can be analyzed. Where measurement has often been seen as an afterthought, Alembic lets us see both the big picture and the details."
Strengthening Accenture Song’s marketing accountability
Accenture Song aims to make marketing more accountable across every stage of the workflow. The company continues to build relationships with emerging AI providers, including Aaru for strategy development, Writer for content creation and AI Refinery for campaign optimisation. Alembic now adds real-time attribution and analytics capabilities. Accenture’s own marketing and communications team is piloting Alembic to assess campaign performance internally.
Alembic’s Series B round was led by Prysm Capital and Accenture, with participation from Silver Lake Waterman, Liquid 2 Ventures, NextEquity, Friends & Family Capital and WndrCo.
